We would like to share a message from one of our Cassie + Friends families whose journey with Juvenile Arthritis has been made just a little bit easier, thanks to donors and friends like you.

My 5 year old daughter, Eve and I are thankful for your constant support.

Eve was diagnosed with Juvenile Arthritis at the age of 2. The weekly injections are the most challenging part so far. This isn’t even counting the frequent blood work she has to do to make sure there are no harmful side effects from these medications.

We are currently working through Eve’s fear of needles with a psychologist. Being able to apply the numbing cream we receive through the Cassie + Friends Equipment Program at our clinic helps ease her pain a lot! As parents, we just want to support our kid, reduce her stress and pain as much as possible, and be able to explain all of this to our older son as well. Our whole family is impacted due to the difficulties of the injection process.

This is why we are happy and grateful for what you are doing. I found a lot of educational materials on your website [see our webinar on Injection Support here] on how to ease the injection process (this includes both physical pain and emotional fear). The numbing cream you provided helped us financially and your frequent webinars and the chance to meet other families helped us to see that we are not alone in this journey.

Moreover, reading other kids’ stories and the ability to connect directly with doctors through your webinars helped us understand what to expect and what is going on with Eve.

After being diagnosed at age 2, Eve has had several procedures to help her grow up stronger. Today, she is 5 years old, active, physically strong and for the most part, a happy kid.

Thank you,

Olga (Eve’s mom)
