The Cassie + Friends Saskatchewan Center works with the local pediatric team at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital in support of all youth and their families impacted by childhood rheumatic diseases in the province. If you are a patient family, we want you to know that we are here for you and would love to connect!

Our goal is to build a strong community of patients, families, and young adults impacted by juvenile arthritis, autoinflammatory diseases, and any other rheumatic condition while working with healthcare and researchers in Saskatchewan. We are stronger together!

It is our goal that no child, youth, or family, in Canada feel alone in their journey with rheumatic disease and to support the pediatric rheumatology teams in providing the best, holistic, quality care for their patients. Connect with us today!

Saskatchewan CREW is hard at work

PROPER Project: Saskatchewan Pediatric Rheumatology Research Digital Presence Platform: Propelling Discovery and Innovation to Action, Conducted by Dr. Alan Rosenberg

In 2022, Dr. Alan Rosenberg of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Pediatric Rheumatology clinic was awarded $14,600 from the Cassie + Friends Care & Research Network (CREW). This project will be used to develop and deploy an integrated, multi-pronged digital presence to describe, disseminate, exchange, and mobilize-to-action information pertaining to Saskatchewan pediatric rheumatology research activities and results. The project also aims to increase participation, foster exchanges and heighten awareness of/advocacy for pediatric rheumatology research with the goal of engaging with funders and health policymakers.

NEW! Family Support/Equipment Cupboard at JPCH

Cassie + Friends is proud to be working with the pediatric rheumatology clinic at Jim Pattison’s Children’s Hospital to set up a Parent Support/Equipment Cupboard. This cupboard will provide much-needed resources and equipment to families such as heat/cold packs, braces, numbing creams and more!
