Be a Champion this Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is a day when people around the world come together to make a positive impact. This year, we need your help to bring awareness to a drastically under-represented and under-funded cause: Juvenile Arthritis (JA) and childhood rheumatic diseases.

The truth is, most Canadians don’t know what JA is or how it impacts children, youth, and their families. That’s why we need your voice to help us share this message on Giving Tuesday. Kids, teens, and young adults impacted by rheumatic diseases matter. Their families matter. And we won’t stop until we find a cure!

In preparation for Giving Tuesday on December 3rd, we’re looking for youth and families willing to share their stories. Your experience can help others understand the realities of life with rheumatic disease and why greater awareness, support, and research are so needed.

Here are some impactful ways you can get involved:

Share your story: How long did it take you to get diagnosed or find a treatment that works? How are your child and your family really doing?

Share impactful numbers: How many pills or injections does your child take? How many hours are spent in infusion clinics, how many days missed from school, or what are your family’s out-of-pocket healthcare expenses? These numbers help others understand the realities you face.

Make a donation: Your support allows us to be there for kids and families at every step of their journey, from personalized support to life-transforming research. Donate by December 31 for a 2024 tax receipt, or consider donating securities before December 6. Your gift helps us fight for better, kinder treatments for kids and teens affected by these difficult diseases. Together, we can raise awareness and work towards a #PainFreeFuture.

By sharing your story or making a donation, you’re helping us shine a light on the realities of rheumatic disease and inspiring others to join our cause. Thank you to everyone who has shared with us already, your experiences are a vital part of creating change.
