There’s no doubt, we know some of the best kids around – and this “birthday girl” mentioned below is definitely one of them! We recently received a generous donation from an anonymous family and we wanted to send a big thank you to their amazing daughter. We were especially touched to read the accompanying note:

Hi, My daughter was recently diagnosed with Juvenile Arthritis and

her birthday request was to take donations in lieu of birthday gifts.

We’ll be proud to put your birthday donations to work helping kids just like you! And we’ll keep spreading awareness about childhood rheumatic diseases, like lupus and juvenile arthritis, and working towards a cure. Anything is possible with the help of friends like you!

If your birthday is just around the corner and you’d like to raise funds for Juvenile Arthritis or another childhood rheumatic disease, we’d love to help! Through a generous donation from Chimp – a charitable marketplace that connects people with the causes they care about – we are able to match all 100% of all donations you raise at your birthday party.

We also have a limited supply of Cassie & Friends stickers for goody bags and a lovely blue and green Cassie and Friends bunting banner that we’d be happy to lend to your celebration, if available!

How you can help:

1. Ask for Support
Ask your family and friends to donate to Cassie & Friends in addition to, or in lieu of a birthday gift.

2. Collect donations:

• Create a fundraising page or “Giving Group” where guests can donate online, or;
• Collect donations of cash/cheques at your event (cheques should be made payable to Cassie & Friends Society).
• Double the fun and impact: let us know about your party plans by emailing jennifer@cassieandfriends.ca so we can set up a match

3. Come celebrate with us!
We want to thank you in person. Book a time to meet with us and have your photo taken with one of our big cheques to celebrate your contribution!
