Too rainy for a lemonade stand? Here are some fun and creative ways kids on Team Cassie & Friends can raise money and have fun. Try one today and help us make a difference for kids and families affected by Juvenile Arthritis and other rheumatic diseases.
Don’t forget: You can help us provide the support and research kids with arthritis need and deserve. All dollars raised by kids on Team Cassie & Friends will be doubled by a generous local foundation, Kids Helping Kids, up to $10,000.
Fun Fundraising Ideas for Kids and Families:
- Cartwheels for Quarters – As easy as finding a patch of grass and some friendly neighbours. Even better, share a Juvenile Arthritis fact before you kick off!
- Balloon Raffle – Fill a bunch of balloons with raffle tickets (you can pick up both at your nearest dollar store). Then, inflate the balloons and sell them to friends and neighbours for $1. Whoever has the winning balloon gets a small prize at the end of the raffle and (depending on how many bought a balloon) you’ve raised a ton of money!
- Write letters – This is a tried and true way of letting people know a cause matters to you and asking them to help you make a difference. Your letters should be genuine and personal. Don’t forget to tell them how they can donate (i.e. a link to your fundraising page) and say thank you.
- Birthday Fundraiser – Instead of presents, ask your birthday guests to bring a small amount of money. Let them know that half of the money will support kids with arthritis and you’ll use the other half to pick out a special toy.
- Weed Pull – There’s no better time than spring and early summer to help your neighbours spruce up their yards and gardens. Pulling weeds, watering potted plants and mowing lawns are all great ways to raise money, Spread the word about your new service through printed flyers, social media and word of mouth, but start with your next-door neighbour to get the ball rolling.
