12 Easy FUNdraising Ideas
1. Sell friendship bracelets, organize a silent auction or host a yard sale!
Collect clothes for consignment or hold a kids’ art auction. Involve friends, family, and local businesses and make donors feel special with memorable trades!
2. Organize a shoe, bottle, change, or toonie drive!
Partner with Funds2Orgs for shoe collections, earning cash by weight, return bottles for cash, collect spare change or ask for $2 donations. Spread the word and make a change… with change! Learn more HERE!
3. Get the party started! Host a pizza party, talent show, bake sale or car wash to raise money for a cause!
Partner with local businesses for pizza donations or charge entry fees. Spread the word online and offline, and set up donation jars for extra support. Let’s make a difference together!
4. Sell lemonade or baked goods, or mow lawns, like Jake, a Youth Leader Award winner and lemonade extraordinaire!
Expand beyond lemonade and spread the word online and offline to attract customers. Every effort, big or small, supports a great cause!
5. Get ready to rock! Host a dance night, babysitting service, or even a karaoke event!
Partner with local eateries for spirit nights or offer babysitting services with entertainment. Organize a karaoke or dance night at a restaurant or with rented equipment. Spread the word and gather friends, family, and community members for support while having a blast!
6. Plan a pyjama day, spelling bee, or jeans day at your school!
Coordinate with your principal and charge admission or small donations. These events unite the school community while supporting our cause and educating people at the same time.
7. Clean up the streets, the park or the beach in your community and raise money!
Organize teams and ask for donations based on how many bags they fill up. This friendly competition will make picking up trash fun!
8. Get hyped with exciting activities like the guessing game, 50/50 raffle, or balloon raffle!
Charge a small fee for guessing or buying tickets, with half the proceeds going to winners. Fill balloons with tickets for a dollar each, offering prizes. Let’s have fun while raising funds!
9. Get pumped and plan a bowl-a-thon, dodgeball tourney, cartwheels for quarters or even your own run!
Partner with venues to donate or sell tickets for charity. Organize teams, charge fees, and sell concessions. Engage neighbours with cartwheels for quarters, and join Team C+F by encouraging others to participate in your run! Learn more HERE.
10. Create a fundraising page on platforms like Chimp.
Include details about the cause, your inspiration, and your fundraising goal. Share the page via email and social media, encouraging friends and family to spread the word. Don’t forget to express gratitude to donors afterward!
11. Write a Letter!
This is a tried and true way of letting people know a cause matters to you and asking them to help you make a difference. Your letters should be genuine and personal. Don’t forget to tell them how they can donate (i.e. a link to your fundraising page) and say thank you.
12. For your birthday, take an extra step! Instead of gifts, ask guests to donate.
Explain that half supports kids with arthritis, while half buys a special toy. Start a Facebook fundraiser to involve friends, raising awareness and money. Share your success and tag @cafsociety to inspire others!
