Asking someone for money can feel like a tricky thing to do, but with some practice you’ll be a pro in no time! Here are five tips to make your fundraising efforts a little less stressful.

1. Start talking.

Before making the big “ask,” start by telling everyone (your family, friends, teachers, neighbours, etc) about your goal, what you plan to do and why you are doing it.

2. Get face to face.

While it may feel easier to email or call, the most effective way to inspire someone to make a donation is to talk in face to face. For in-person donations, you can use a hard copy of Cassie and Friends’ pledge form!

3. Educate yourself on the issues.

Get knowledgeable and passionate about the cause and explain your connection to it. Here are some powerful resources on arthritis in children.

4. Get creative.

Host an event, sell friendship bracelets, hold a bottle drive – the possibilities are endless!

5. Never give up!

If someone says no, move along and ask someone else!

Now get out there and reach for your goals!! We are endlessly grateful for the support from YOU and the entire Cassie and Friends community to transform the lives of kids and families. Thank you so much for your hard work!
